11 Steps to Download the Petro Virtual Wallet

Caracas, March 25th, 2018.-  Last Friday the official sale of the Venezuelan Petro began. It had already completed a presale process, where 200,927 offers of purchase intent were received from 133 countries for an amount of $ 5,025, 181787, announced the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and the Website www.elpetro.gob.ve.

Natural and legal persons will be able to purchase Petros on its official Website. The virtual wallet must be downloaded for this transaction.

The process can be made within the first 15 days in convertible currency such as Yuans, Rubles, Turkish liras and Euros, as well as the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, Ethereum and Xem.

Users must follow the following steps for the public auction:

1. Suscribe at the digital platform www.elpetro.gob.ve. Enter data and email for collecting the codes and further information for the eventual transactions.

2. The user will receive a message with a link that will lead to a download portal of the Petro wallet. It will automaticaly download a file called "Petro_wallet" that must be executed.

3. The Petro wallet must be opened. The user must click on "Sign Up". Then, on "Simple Wallet", "Ready", and "Next".

4. Create the Wallet and assign a safe password.

5. Move the mouse on the wallet and click on "Understood".

6. Click on "Download", and save the wallet file in a safe place.

7. Click "Show Private Keu", and copy the seed key (a chain of 64 hexadecimals to be saved in a safe place.

8. Click on "I have my private key and password" and then  "I agree".

9. Select the wallet, enter password and click on "Sign In".

10. Click on the option "Account", on the upper right side bar.

11. To finish, find the button "Address". Your wallet address will appear for the deposit of petros.

According to the manual of the Petro buyer, the data package for the creation of the digital wallet is set up to self destroy itself once its installation finishes. Therefore, it's necessary to copy the seed key with the 64 characters and to keep it in a safe place for purchasing the Petros.
