DANRY VÁSQUEZ CAUGHT oN a VIDEO BEATING his girlfriend

March 14, 2018.- A security video inside of a building in Corpus Christi, Tx, captured a serious domestic violence episode, by the Venezuelan outfielder Danry Vásquez. Vásquez used to play for the Corpus Christi Hook's team.

The images display the moment when Danry Vásquez walks down the stairs in the stadium together to his girlfriend. Suddenly, the 24yr-old outfielder backhands on her face with his left wrist. The slapping makes the woman lose balance and slip accross the stairwell. Vásquez leans to help her stand up, and then continues beats her again. However, he doesn't stop the aggressions, and he continues by pulling the young girl by the hair while both walk down. Danry Vásquez continues beating and dragging his girlfriend through the stairwell.

The video was spread on several media outlets showing the record of the event perpetrated on Aug. 02nd, 2016 at the Whataburger Field, where Vásquez used to play for the Corpus Christi Hook's team.

After the publication of the video, initially devealed by the KRIS-TV network. the Lancaster Barnstormers team, from the Atlantic Professional Baseball League, announced Danry Vásquez dismissal on its official Facebook Page. 

"A recently released video out of Corpus Christi, Texas portrays a domestic violence episode involving Vasquez. Upon being made aware of the nature of the incident, the Barnstormers made a prompt decision to cut ties with the 24-year old outfielder.

“There is no choice but to sever the relationship,” said Peeples. “Neither I, nor the Barnstormers’ organization as a whole, can condone or associate with that behavior”, the statement says.

However, the local press has assured Danry Vásquez already had an agreement with another Baseball team in the state of Pennsylvania.
