Venezuela Does Not Recognize the International Court of Justice. The Only Way to Treat the Controversy with Guyana Is Through The Geneva Agreement

Jan 31st, 18.- The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement published on Twitter ratifying its commitment to the Geneva Agreement of 1966 "As the only way to solve the territorial controversy" with Guyana.


The Venezuelan Chancellor, Jorge Arreaza questioned the International Court of Justice of "Having recommended two states that don't acknowledge its jurisdiction".
 
This response was issued in occasion of a statement issued by the UN General Secretariat on the Esequibo territorial dispute, that recommendds the International Court of Justice as forecoming means to be used to solve the dispute.
