180 People Detained due to Corruption in State Food Supply Chains

Caracas, december 14th – As part of the cruzade by the Venezuelan National Goverment aimed to fight corruption, 180 people were detained out of distortion of the food supply  in the state chains, the Minister of People’s Power for Urban and Periurban Agriculture, and Freddy Bernal, the National Chief of the Venezuelan Local Committee for Production and Supply (CLAP, in its Spanish accronym)
During the TV show “Meeting Spot” (Punto de Encuentro in Spanish), broadcasted by Venezolana de Televisión, Bernal stressed on the punishment to entrepreneurs, police officers and mempers of the Local Committees for Production and Supply (Clap).

The Alliance with the security organisms dismantled last Saturday a criminal gang that hid 30 tons of Clap food in a Warehouse in Pariata, State of Vargas. The gang pretended to resell at speculative prices, Freddy Bernal said.
Also, medicines for chronic diseases were seized.
